For two years, I was a core dev team member for a small and agile crew at a company called Stage. Stage’s app is a platform for watching immersive concert footage together in VR headsets and on mobile devices. Each user is embodied with a virtual avatar and has various tools and toys at their disposal to interact with other users. People can move freely about the concert, meeting up with each other from different locations around the real-world venue.
The product is developed for Samsung GearVR, Oculus Go, and all modern Android and iOS devices. I’ve had my hand in implementing nearly every part of the product outside of 3D asset production. This includes core runtime systems, front-end API integration, gameplay mechanics, UI/UX, multiplayer networking & VoIP, rendering optimization, VJ content, and sound design & music.
